Great value!! Clean and had everything I needed. TV had some static but they gave the wifi password so I just streamed Netflix on my phone anyway. I would definitely come back here again if I was passing through this way again. A nice man came out and helped me back up a trailer - first time towing , and I was very thankful for his help. Wanted to give him a tip but didn’t see him again after I parked. Thank you!!

Some of the reviews had me a little worried BUT we totally enjoyed our stay. "No frills" is accurate, but for what we paid it was awesome! I paid approx $35/night for a king bed to share with my 6 year old and booked through a popular hotels website. I called ahead to confirm because we were rolling in late and the gal found our reservation right away and had no problems (I've had a place give up my room before - I'm traumatized!). This town is basically a couple of 90 degree turns in the road - not much here. Rolling in the area looks a little rough and run down but all the people were pleasant. Our room didn't smell like smoke or mildew or anything - smelled clean. Surfaces were clean (not sticky, no dust or ick). Linens felt clean. The room was pretty well arranged with a small fridge (mini but not super mini like some places). Sink is a bar sink (small but high spout). The room seemed newly painted and some features upgraded. The bathroom has a curved shower curtain bar so shower feels more spacious. Towels were small and rough but worked fine. Breakfast is 2 cereal options or oatmeal and pastry things. Not like a hotel restaurant breakfast but definitely great for the kid! One bummer was that each morning at about 5am a smoker was coughing outside the window. But we didn't smell it so, cool. Otherwise, we didn't hear too much other people or road noise. We'll definitely keep this pace in mind for proximity to Lava Beds National Monument and adventures in the area. Great value. Know what to expect though so you're not disappointed. And the gal at the desk was very sweet.

Was relocating to Mt Shasta when a winter storm hit and I had to take refuge in Dorris, CA. The only motel available was the Golden Eagle. Due to the ongoing storm I decided to prolong my stay until weather and road conditions improved. Prices allowed me to stay longer than anticipated. My stay at the Golden Eagle was outstanding! The staff was kind, attentive to my needs and considerate. Rooms we clean, well care for and housekeeping staff were delightful. No problem giving this delightful motel five stars!

Great little Motel . Old but clean and the staff was quite attentive and hospitable. Small town tucked away in the mountains so the nightly rate is a great value . If you want to relax for a couple days and get off the road this is the place ! Will definitely stay again when thru here in May 2025 !

The staff is always kind and courteous every time I come here, the air conditioning is amazing rooms are always very clean. There’s no getting around the fact that it is the older hotel with older furniture but the beds are comfortable the towels are a good quality and it has been remodeled inside and out for the price definitely can’t beat this hotel. No bugs no nastiness no unsavory people hanging out outside will definitely be back.

Really, I can tell you're shaking your head and thinking "OK?!?" the rooms were very clean and comfortable, and the staff were lovely. The downside is there's not a lot of restaurant choices in-town after 6 p.m., which is not the fault of the hotel. My son n I had a lovely little escape for a reasonable price and we drove up and got a Blockbuster card. Unless you're super-picky you can't go wrong staying here.
